Mission -- Points -- Statistics
I started Lost Girls after reporting on those dismal stats of young women being out of work and burdened by student debt everyday as an anchor for CNN and CNBC. For me, it wasn't enough to just report on it. I needed to do something about it.

I found myself in a unique position at 27 years old to have more than 10 years of on-air work experience. I had my dream job, but couldn't let so many of my peers struggle alone.

I remembered how hard it was to pound the pavement by myself, not having family connections or any special advantage other than my persistence and perseverance...oh and my one black J.Crew suit that I saved up for and wore until the seams ripped and the sweat stains couldn't be wiped off anymore. That suit and little nuggets of advice and kindness from the businesswomen I sought out made all the difference.

Photo Now, with more than enough suits in my closet, I'm compelled to help my former
self. Our foundation will provide career advice and gently-worn workplace attire to young women in New York City looking for jobs. Our young women are more than just statistics. They are educated, motivated to work and just need a little help and guidance to find their way.
